Fest steht jedenfalls, dass im Rahmen dieser Literaturproduktion ein Werk als bedeutendstes herausragt: Das Cantar bzw. Poema de Mío Cid, das das spanische Heldenepos schlechthin darstellt und als einziges mittelalterliches spanisches Epos fast vollständig überliefert ist (vgl. Strosetzki ²1996: 6 f.). Damit ist das Thema dieser Hausarbeit angerissen. Das Cantar de Mío Cid soll schwerpunktmäßig hinsichtlich inhaltlicher und interpretatorischer Gesichtspunkte untersucht werden. Dabei werden Informationen zur Entstehung und zu historischen Entstehungszusammenhängen, formale Aspekte sowie eine knappe Inhaltsangabe des Werkes vorangestellt, welche die Grundlage für den eigentlichen Gegenstand der Hausarbeit bilden. Zunächst sollen Entstehungszeit und -ort sowie Entstehungszusammenhänge des Cantar de Mío Cid vorgestellt werden (Kapitel 2.1.). Im folgenden Kapitel (2.2.) wird auf den Aufbau und Inhalt eingegangen, wobei u.a. die markantesten und wichtigsten formalen Besonderheiten herausgearbeitet werden. Anschließend werden im letzten Kapitel (2.3.) des Hauptteils Interpretationsansätze dargestellt, die Bedeutung des Werkes verdeutlichen und das Verständnis des Cantar de Mío Cid ermöglichen sollen. Im abschließenden Kapitel (3.) soll die Bedeutung dieses Werkes für die spanische Literatur und innerhalb der spanischen Literaturgeschichte herauskristallisiert werden.
