Die Ergebnisse: Anlagestrategien, die im Einklang mit den gemeinnützigen Stiftungszwecken stehen, liegen im Trend. 45 Prozent der Stiftungen, die geantwortet haben, können sich vorstellen, künftig soziale, ökologische und ethische Kriterien bei der Anlageentscheidung einzubeziehen. Bisher wenden Stiftungen vor allem Ausschlusskriterien an. Der deutsche Stiftungssektor könnte demnach um 300 Prozent wirksamer sein, wenn die Stiftungen nur drei Prozent ihres geschätzten Gesamtvermögens in Höhe von 100 Milliarden Euro zweckbezogen angelegen würden.

Die Publikation zeigt anhand von exklusiven Umfrageergebnissen und Fallbeispielen, wie Stiftungen ihre Vermögensanlage auf die Ziele der Stiftungen und im Einklang mit den aktuellen Rechtsrahmen neu ausrichten können. Der Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen möchte auf diese Weise zum notwendigen Paradigmenwechsel im deutschen Stiftungssektor beitragen. Die Studie wurde in Partnerschaft mit Impact in Motion erarbeitet und durch die Hauptförderung der Baden-Württembergischen Bank ermöglicht. Die Publikation enthält 30 Abbildungen und 17 Fallbeispiele zur Investmentpraxis und rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen.

Dem berühmten König gelang an vielen Stellen das, für die damalige Zeit, Unmögliche und Unfassbare. Besonders seine Eroberungen auf dem Perserfeldzug sind wohl jedem bekannt. Man kennt die Schlacht von Issos und die Massenhochzeit von Susa.
Sein Zug durch die gedrosische Wüste jedoch ist bisher weniger im allgemeinen Bewusstsein verankert. Als Alexander der Große 325 v. Chr. in der Stadt Patala den Entschluss gefasst hatte, den Rückweg nach Karmanien durch die Satrapie Gedrosien und so durch deren Wüste zu nehmen, wusste er vermutlich nicht, wie folgenschwer seine Entscheidung sein würde; sie besiegelte den Tod vieler seiner Soldaten. Aufgrund verschiedener Faktoren wurde der Rückweg zum Disaster.
Im ersten Abschnitt meiner Hausarbeit gehe ich vorrangig auf die Ereignisse ab dem Einzug Alexanders in die gedrosische Wüste (August 325 v.Chr.) bis zur Wiedervereinigung des Heeres und der Flotte in Karmanien ein. Im zweiten Abschnitt dieser Arbeit geht es hauptsächlich um Maßnahmen und Handlungen Alexanders bis zum Weitermarsch aus Susa im Sommer 324 v.Chr.
Aus diesem Kontext ergibt sich die zentrale Themenstellung dieser Arbeit: Aufarbeitung und Rekonstruktion des Zuges von Alexander dem Großen durch die gedrosische Wüste und Untersuchung der weiteren Ereignisse bis zu den Ereignissen in Susa im Jahr 324 v. Chr.
Die Quellenlage über das Leben und die Taten Alexanders des Großen ist zum Teil sehr komplex. Um die Ereignisse dieses Abschnittes möglichst detailgenau zu rekonstruieren, richtet sich mein Blick zunächst auf die literarischen, zeitgenössischen Zeugnisse. Hier sollen die Träger der Primärtradition wie Arrian und Plutarch und ihre Werke in Augenschein genommen werden. Anschließend dienen dann die in den Sekundärquellen angeführten Aussagen über den König dazu, den entscheidenden Faktor für die Rekonstruierung des Alexanderbildes, zu fokussieren. Eine ausführliche Literaturliste findet sich am Ende der Arbeit.
Vorliegende Arbeit wurde im Wintersemester 2005/06 an der Universität Erlangen – Nürnberg im Geschichte Proseminar „Alexander der Große“ in ähnlicher Form als Referat gehalten.

Die Gründung der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland kennzeichnete den Wettlauf zweier politischer Systeme und führte schließlich zu höchst unterschiedlichen Entwicklungen in den beiden Teilen Deutschlands.
Durch die weitreichenden Zerstörungen des Zweiten Weltkrieges war es durchaus gerechtfertigt von einer wichtigen Rolle der Planung in der gesellschaftlichen Entwicklung zu sprechen und die Lösbarkeit bestehender Probleme in der sozialistischen Gesellschaft anzunehmen, dessen Entscheidungsmacht der Kontrolle der Sozialistischen Einheitspartei Deutschlands (SED) unterlag.
Die verheerende Wohnungsnot, die hohe Arbeitslosigkeit und die tiefen Wunden in den deutschen Familien verlangten nach einer Lösung.
Auf den folgenden Seiten soll ein Überblick über die Stadtentwicklung der DDR und die Merkmale sozialistischer Städte gegeben werden. Mit einer anfänglichen Einführung über die politische Situation nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg möchte ich anschließend die Stadtzustände der DDR nach 1945 darstellen. Anhand der städteplanerischen Maßnahmen des Staates, werde ich die Merkmale sozialistischer Städte erörtern sowie auf die daraus entstandenen Folgen für Verkehr, Umwelt und auf die Folgen für Freizeit, Kultur und Bevölkerung der DDR eingehen.
Die Entwicklung der Städte in der DDR nach der Wiedervereinigung Deutschlands soll einen abschließenden Punkt meiner Hausarbeit bilden. Erst nach der Wende 1989/1990 wurde das verheerende Ausmaß eines stalinistisch, antidemokratisch und zentralistisch organisierten Parteien- und Staatssystem deutlich.

About the Author
"Colin Teevan is a celebrated playwright, translator and writer for screen. His work has been produced by many leading theatres including the National, the Young Vic, the Soho Theatre and the National Theatre of Scotland. Colin's 2009 play, The Lion of Kabul, was produced as part of the Tricycle Theatre's Great Game festival on Afghanistan and was hailed as 'an inspirational highlight of the year' by The Independent. In the same year, he adapted Franz Kafka's Report to An Academy for the Young Vic, where it appeared as the critically-acclaimed play, Kafka's Monkey, as well as reviving the National Theatre of Scotland's production of his new version of Peer Gynt at The Barbican and, subsequently, on tour. In 2010 Kafka's Monkey was revived by The Young Vic at the Bouffes du Nord Theatre in Paris and The Great Game was revived by the Tricycle for an American tour. In 2011 Colin wrote an episode of the ITV drama Vera starring Brenda Blethyn and a two-part episode of ITV/RTE crime drama Single Handed. Colin was commissioned to write an original play There Was A Man, There Was No Man for the Tricycle as part of their 2012 season of plays entitled 'The Bomb'. "

Bastante entretenido

Ahora que está el furor de la serie televisiva, se han hecho algunas reediciones de este libro. Aún así, fue bastante díficil conseguir un original.
Como era de esperar, el libro no se parece mucho a la serie. Sin embargo, lo encontré bastante entretenido y fácil de leer.
Lo que no me gustó fue la segunda parte de libro, especialmente el segundo salto al futuro que me pareció "tirado de los pelos".
En general, creo que el libro es interesante pero hacia el final pierde fuerza.

Ein Einblick in die Unternehmenskommunikation allgemein soll einen Einblick in die klassischen Strukturen der internen und externen Kommunikation ermöglichen, um im Folgenden auf die fortführenden Maßnahmen wie die Online-PR einzugehen. Entsprechend soll thematisiert werden wie Weblogs in die Unternehmenskommunikation eingebunden werden können. Als Beispiel wird der Weblog von Microsoft aufgeführt. Auch die Problematiken die Weblogs für Unternehmen beinhalten können werden anhand des Beispiels der „Jamba-Story“analysiert. Die Unternehmenskommunikation stellt die Gesamtheit der sowohl nach innen wie nach außen gerichteten kommunikativen Aktivitäten eines Wirtschaftsunternehmens dar. Beachtet werden müssen bei der Kommunikation verschiedene Aspekte wie der Corporate Identity sowie dem Corporate Design des Unternehmens. Nur wer seine Kommunikationsaufgaben erfüllt, wird langfristig die Akzeptanz eines Unternehmens und damit letztlich auch dessen wirtschaftlich Basis sichern können (vgl Beger, S.35).

the watchers are pretty much wasting their time

The Watchman in Pieces is a detailed literary study of surveillance in its ideas and in its practices over several centuries. It turns commonplace perceptions upside down--those being watched are told, and believe, that the watchers are controlling the narrative, so innocent or guilty, the watched worry. The book's argument is, those under surveillance control the narrative. And if so, the watchers are pretty much wasting their time. They can piece together things after the fact, but anticipate events? Not very well.

A nicely argued and for me, refreshing book.

Was ist die Gouvernementalität? Welche Komponenten haben sich zu einem so komplexen Gefüge wie dem modernen Staat verdichtet? Welche Techniken des Regierens haben sich seit dem Mittelalter oder sogar seit der Antike entwickelt?
Und schließlich diskutiert die Arbeit besonders den Stellenwert des „Subjekts“ in Foucaults Werk. Was ist ein Subjekt bei Foucault? Welche Freiheiten hat das Individuum, wenn Foucault eine „Genealogie des Subjekts“ schreibt und dieses als autonome Instanz auflöst beziehungsweise nur als ein Resultat des „Außen“ ansieht? Und welche Verbindung gibt es zwischen dem Subjekt und der Gouvernementalität?
