Ziel der Arbeit ist, die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen des Einsatzes von UML bei der Anforderungsdefinition in der betrieblichen Praxis zu untersuchen.
Um das Ziel zu erreichen, werden zunächst die begrifflichen Grundlagen geklärt. Anschließend wird auf mögliche Vorteile, Probleme sowie Grenzen des UML Einsatzes eingegangen. Dabei wird speziell die Entwicklung einer branchenneutralen, kaufmännischen Standardsoftware für mittelständische Unternehmen berücksichtigt.
Als Untersuchungsobjekt dient eine Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software, die von einem mittelständischen Softwareproduzenten mit 20 Mitarbeitern hergestellt, vertrieben und kundenspezifisch angepasst wird. Sie befindet sich bereits bei ca. 200 kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen im Einsatz, bei einigen der Unternehmen seit fast 20 Jahren. Der Autor dieser Arbeit ist seit mehreren Jahren als Leiter der Entwicklungsabteilung für den Aufbau und die Erweiterung der o.g. Software verantwortlich.
Als Untersuchungsmethode wird vom Autor das Vorgehen bei der Anforderungsdefinition der o.g. Software beschrieben und beurteilt. Da das Produkt bereits im Markt eingeführt ist, werden im Fallbeispiel insbesondere die Komplexität des Produktes, sowie sich daraus ergebende Probleme beschrieben. Es werden an Hand eines konkreten Beispiels Gründe für den Einsatz von bzw. der auf Verzicht von UML bei der Definition von Änderungsanforderungen gezeigt.
Im Ergebnis werden die untersuchten Probleme und Vorteile beim Einsatz von UML bei der Anforderungsdefinition an Hand des Fallbeispiels zusammenfassend dargestellt.

As they ride along, they observe the mounting frenzy as the bus gradually fills with groups of seals, geese, rabbits, monkeys, vipers, sheep, and skunks, each making an appropriate sound or motion. Soon after the "skunks on the bus go sssss, sssss, sssss," the "people on the bus go HELP, HELP, HELP!" and it's time for everyone to disembark for the party at the end of the line. Karas' artwork combines cut paper, gouache, acrylic, and pencil to create a series of pleasingly varied scenes of cheerful chaos. Navy (though I'd say they're more grey) seals

Long before illustrator G. Brian Karas captured the world's attention with his not-particularly-groundbreaking-but-still-interesting, "Muncha Muncha Muncha" he helped author Lenny Hort create a sweet little selection entitled, "The Seals On the Bus". Taking silliness to a whole new level, "Seals" replaces those tired old standby lines found in the song, "The Wheels On the Bus" and replaces them with a convoluted carnival of copious critters. It's silly, frenetic, and thoroughly enjoyable to the kiddies.

A small family of four wait patiently at a bus stop. The kids are unencumbered and their parents read their book and newspaper respectively. Once on the bus, however, everything goes higgledy-piggledy. First some seals come on board (accompanied by the text, "The seals on the bus go errp, errp, errp"). I've always thought that seals were prone to more arfing than errping, but that's just me I guess. Suddenly the seals' boisterous errps make the driver more than a little angry. The driver, to the surprise of his human passengers, is actually a tiger. So the text says, "The tiger on the bus goes roar, roar, roar". This is where things start picking up. Geese jump aboard the bus, with the appropriate geese sounds in tow. Next come rabbits. Then monkeys, then vipers, then sheep. In a way, it's the final skunks that push the grownups completely off the deep end. Fortunately, at this point the bus as ended at a fabulous party and the kids are more than happy to join in the fun.

Lenny Hort is the official author of this tale, and it's a funny enough concept I'll grant you. Still, it's Karas who brings the entire enterprise to full glorious life. I wasn't a particular fan of his work on "Muncha Muncha Muncha", I'll admit. Maybe that was because he didn't include any seals. Cause let's face it, the man is an excellent seal-artist. The book itself has a kind of faux sloppiness to it. At first, it looks like the pictures were just randomly brought together. But on closer inspection it's clear that Karas uses his gouache, acrylics, pencils and cut paper to the best of his ability. I was particularly interested in how the buildings and reading materials in this story were created out of real honest-to-goodness newsprint. Partly these amused me because Karas would carefully smudge important names on that newsprint. Partly they amused me because they were often ads of boring grown-up business/stock information (apropos when using that same material to create houses and buildings). As for the characters themselves, Karas is far better at drawing animals than people. In "Muncha" this was a problem. Here, it's an advantage. You may notice the family from time to time, but the real heroes of this tale are the myriad of different animals filling each and every page. And great seals. Great great seals.

All in all, "The Seals On the Bus" takes an old song, modernizes it with silly and ridiculous images, and has a great time doing it. Consequently, your kids will have a ball reading it. And if you happen to be the kind of adult that can repeat the words, "Errp, errp, errp", over and over with the right amount of aplomb and humor, this will become your children's favorite bedtime story of the year. Definitely consider checking it out.

Old favorite with new fun

This book brings new fun to the kid-pleasing song, The Wheels on the Bus. In this version various animals board the bus with increasing chaotic results. Until, in the end, the people on the bus are crying, "help, help, help." The pictures are delightful. This is a great book to share - especially with children who already know and love the original song.

Es obliegt seiner Verantwortung die AG zu leiten, wodurch „dem Vorstand ein von Eingriffen anderer Gesellschaftsorgane weitgehend freier Raum für unternehmerische Zweckmäßigkeitsentscheidungen gewährt wird, sodass er die Stellung des Unternehmers, der die Richtlinien der Geschäftspolitik bestimmt und die geschäftliche Initiative ergreift, wahrnimmt.“ Hierzu gehören unter anderen die Entscheidungen über die Festlegung des Unternehmensziel, die Führungsgrundsätze, sowie Beteiligungen der Gesellschaft. Die rechtlichen Grundlagen, nach denen der Vorstand seine Leitungsfunktion ausübt, werden natürlich primär durch Gesetze gegeben (Aktien-Gesetz, öffentliches Recht, Straf- und Ordnungsrecht), als auch durch die Satzung des Unternehmens, den Anstellungsvertrag zwischen Vorstand und AG und durch HV-Beschlüsse. Nach §83 AktG ist der Vorstand auf Verlangen der HV verpflichtet bestimmte Maßnahmen vorzubereiten, die in die Zuständigkeit der HV fallen. Des weiteren muss er die auf der HV rechtmäßig beschlossen Maßnahmen ausführen. Der Vorstand ist im Innenverhältnis zur Geschäftsführung berufen. Diese umfasst jede vom Vorstand für die Gesellschaft ausgeführte Aufgabe, die Kraft seiner Organstellung verübt wird. Die Verfolgung des Gesellschaftszwecks durch den Vorstand bringt schwerpunktmäßig folgende Verantwortungsbereiche mit sich:
• Die Unternehmerische Verantwortung heißt für den Vorstand die Festlegung und Durchführung der Geschäftspolitik. Somit ist es seine Aufgabe das Erreichen des Unternehmensziels- und somit das Bestehen des Unternehmens für die Zukunft zu sichern.
• Die Führungsverantwortung beinhaltet die allgemeine Führungsverantwortung im Gesamtunternehmen, sowie die Fachverantwortung im betreffenden Geschäftsbereich. Des weiteren die „ordnungsgemäße Auswahl, Überwachung und Koordination der Mitarbeiter“

Do Not Buy, Save Your Money

Don't waste your money. Use it instead for a good tax accountant that has the proper licensing for dealing with the IRS for you that comes highly recommended or a tax lawyer(which is more expensive). The IRS agent I've dealt with was arrogant and believed he was/is above the law regardless of what anybody might tell, they pretty much are. They first agent you see face to face has all the power and all the cards. If you piss them off for ANY reason, they can and will make your life a living hell. You ARE guilty until you PROVE yourself innocent, regardless of what the law may state these are the real world facts. The IRS agent said to me: "I wouldn't be here if you were innocent". Thankfully it was the H&R Block tax software that had made multiple mistakes by purposely putting some deductions in 2 or more places which flagged me as double dipping. My excellent tax accountant new EXACTLY where it happened as soon as I told her what tax software I used. If I had followed some of the suggestions in this book I would have been severely screwed. False confidence in dealing with the IRS is a HUGE mistake.

This book is something that many companies could use to develop their own job descriptions. It was useful for my own job description and I will probably pass it on to others who may be able to use its resources.

An easy, uncomplicated read providing good input and worksheets for developing job descriptions. Does not cover in very much depth the physical demands and working conditions piece, which I was looking for. I work in an industry that employs a large variety of positions, indoors and outdoors, desk jobs and physically laborious jobs, and in various weather conditions, and we'd like to address physical demands for ADA purposes. This book seems more appropriate for companies whose jobs don't have such a variety of conditions. I did like, however, the simplicity in which it covered the other aspects of job descriptions.
