Die romanische Philologie ist eine vorwiegend auf das hohe Mittelalter ausgerichtete Disziplin, da die Entlehnung und Individualisierung der romanischen Sprachen in diesen Zeitraum, zwischen dem Mittelalter bis ins goldene Zeitalter, dem Siglo de Oro (16./17. Jahrhundert), fällt.
„… die Romanistik, wie sie im Mittelalter, in der Renaissance und teilweise sogar noch im 18. Jahrhundert betrieben wurden, ist auf bestimmte klassische Prinzipien zurückzuführen, die man am besten dort studiert, wo sie entstanden sind…“
Die wesentlichen Veränderungen im Sprachwandelprozess vom mittelalterlichen Spanisch zum modernen Spanisch vollzogen sich vorwiegend in den so genannten „Siglos de Oro“, im Laufe des 15. bis 17. Jahrhunderts. Diese verstärkten den Unterschied gegenüber dem Katalanischen und Portugiesischen.
Gegenstand dieser Hausarbeit wird die Untersuchung der gesprochenen Dialekte in der Romania mit schwerpunktartiger Thematisierung der Dialekte Kastilisch, Katalanisch und Portugiesisch, insbesondere im Siglo de Oro, sein.
Besondere Berücksichtigung finden hierbei, neben den linguistischen Aspekten, auch die literarischen und polit-historischen Hintergründe.
